Senior Manager, Information Technology (Systems and Network)

The senior manager is responsible for installing and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks. Reporting to assistant vice president of IT, the candidate manages and provides hardware and software maintenance, training and consultation, and recommendations about future planning and development of resources. He or she will provide these services in an effective and efficient manner and ensure maximum access to and implementation of technology services and resources.
Position Responsibilities and Essential Duties: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Manage information technology and computer systems
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for computer systems operations and development
- Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
- Hire and manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer networks and information systems
- Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software
- Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access
Required Skills
- Understanding of MAC environment
- Process oriented
- Good team player with team management skills (team sizes of at least five to ten individuals)
Preferred Skills / Strong Working Knowledge
- Media industry experience an added advantage
Experience / Education
- Experience working in large environments (at least 100 workstations and ten servers with multiple ISPs)
- Networking (hands-on and high-level) in enterprise-level redundancy/resiliency of systems (clusters)/networks
- Bachelors/masters degree in computers
- Nine to ten years in the industry
