Marketing Specialist

The marketing specialist is responsible for database management, lead generation through email campaigns, qualification of potential accounts, reporting on campaigns and activities, monitoring the industry and tracking competition. In this role, the marketing specialist reports to the senior marketing manager.
The successful candidate will be capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines, detail-oriented and capable of making marketing recommendations.
Key attributes include strong communication, research, task management, organizational, and analytical skills.
Position Responsibilities and Essential Duties: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Populate a database with partner lists and contacts acquired through market research and/or voluntary signups
- Maintain the database with details on contacts, campaigns, account status, opt-outs and other critical information; ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM rules
- Report on the success of marketing activities, including but not limited to email campaigns, website, social media, public relations, etc.
- Research potential target accounts
- Monitor the industry for relevant news and company mentions
- Conduct competitive research
- Work with the senior marketing manager to create effective email campaigns (including messaging, copy and design)
- Work with the senior marketing manager to create relevant landing pages and calls to action
- Work with the senior marketing manager to create pre-sales materials such as brochures, price lists, flyers, etc.
- Work with the senior marketing manager to create survey materials for current, past and potential accounts and conduct campaigns
- Manage the campaign schedule to ensure consistent communications to target accounts throughout the year
- Advise on keyword campaigns and Google Analytics to ensure appropriate tracking and support
- Work on social media activities and other tasks as assigned
- Create and manage project plans
- Request from the appropriate internal personnel guidance, information and support to complete job responsibilities
Required Skills
- Time management and prioritizing skills with the flexibility to recalibrate quickly according to changing requirements
- Team approach to completing projects and problem-solving
- Shift flexibility to work with U.S. personnel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Self-motivated and organized personality with the ability to work independently
- Excellent English communication ability (written and spoken) to engage with potential clients and employees at all levels
Experience / Education
- MBA in marketing
- Knowledge of marketing, especially online marketing and market research
- Work experience in marketing preferred
- Experience in online marketing a plus
Language Ability
Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English with team members and clients, and present information well
