The Director/Associate Vice President—Systems plays an essential role within the operation team.
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor team members to form a cohesive team environment to maximize levels of productivity within the company
Interact with business users and other IT professionals working as part of a team to satisfy client goals and provide deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
Discovering and documenting client IT requirements
Developing approaches to address IT needs
Working within Affinity Express and the client’s organization to implement solutions
Tracking deliverables and adjusting approach throughout the entire product lifecycle
Document and maintain stringent controls over the IT environment including security policies and follow-up for issue resolution
Perform systems administration responsibilities including keeping and maintaining the systems, conducting routine checks, performing backups, preparing planning, etc.
Display experience in network management including configurations and redundancy, network monitoring and security, threat detection, etc.
Plan data center moves and hardware additions, including looking at logistics and capacities
Set policies and procedures mainly in the areas of appropriate use and security
Conduct security analyses to identify and address weaknesses
Support desktops such as installing and de-installing of systems, setups and movements
Manage software compliance
Procure software and hardware
Education/Experience:
Six to seven years of system/network management experience required
Excellent communication, team-building skills and vendor management skills
Strong organization and leadership experience in running IT in a production environment
Background in data center planning as well as networking and systems administration experience
Experience in managing multiple projects/teams
Knowledge of current technology environments supporting Mac and PC desktops, web-based applications, LAN/WAN/VPN network environments, Microsoft Office products including Exchange, and multiple application/data/file/FTP/mail servers supporting multiple internal and external clients
